In September last year, Apple released the 9th Generation iPad. Currently, Apple is working on the next-generation iPad lineup, which is likely to launch in 2022 or as the 10th gen iPad or iPad 10th Gen. MySmartPrice has received exclusive CAD renders of the next-generation iPad from a case maker.
RAW CAD renders provide an insight into the tablet’s design and some of its key features. According to previous reports, the upcoming iPad might switch to USB Type-C for charging and data transfer. Here are some CAD renders and other details about the upcoming iPad.
DESIGN:
In the CAD renders below, we can see that the 10th gen iPad will look similar to the 9th gen iPad from the front, with the camera on top and Touch ID on the bottom. All four sides have sizeable bezels.
According to the back of the device, the next-gen iPad will have a single camera. On the other hand, based on these images, it looks like the 10th Gen will include an LED flash and a camera island, unlike the 9th Gen.
Moreover, we can see the speaker out on both the bottom and top of the device, indicating that the iPad will feature quad speakers. On top, we can also see the power button. Volume rockers are located to the side. Due to the red marking on the CAD renders, the device’s charging port remains a mystery. It is still unclear if Apple will switch to Type-C or stick with the lighting port. Apple might bring the new iPad with a USB Type-C port, according to a report from a few months back.
Compared with the 9th generation iPad, the next-generation iPad is smaller but wider, measuring 248.62 x 179.50 x 6.98mm.
