In September, Apple will launch its iPhone 14 series of smartphones. Rather than the iPhone 14 Mini, Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 14 Max, which will work together with the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. A new leak will make a lot of skeptics happy since they thought upgrades would cost more with the iPhone 14 series.
A new leak from a Korean website claims the iPhone 14’s base 128GB storage variant will cost $799 (around Rs 63,000). Apple has decided to freeze the launch price of the iPhone 14 base variant at $799 to combat stagnant demand, despite the ongoing price increase and supply chain instability.
Apple usually does not launch its iPhones in India by simply converting USD into INR, and if history is any guide, we can expect the US pricing to be multiplied by 100 in India. In India, the $799 iPhone 13 was launched for Rs 79,900. According to reports, the iPhone 14 will also cost around Rs 80,000 in India. As the rupee has weakened significantly, we might also see a slight increase in iPhone 14 India prices.
iPhone 14:
Apple’s iPhone 14 is said to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Apple’s current iPhone 13 models are powered by the A15 Bionic processor. It is possible, however, that Apple will upgrade the SoC’s performance. The A16 Bionic chipset will only be available for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Face ID sensors and the selfie camera will remain at the top of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. A dual camera setup with 12MP at the rear and a 12MP camera at the front is said to be included in the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 will boot iOS 16 (stable) right out of the box.
