Redmi tablets are rumored to be Xiaomi’s first. There is no official name for the device yet. An MIUI 13 survey in China in May this year named the device the Redmi Pad 5G. Recently, the 3C authority in China certified the Redmi tablet. An image of the alleged device has appeared on Weibo.
There is not much information available about the Redmi Pad 5G. On its back is a single camera mounted on a metallic chassis. In June this year, the 3C and CMIIT authorities certified the mysterious Redmi tablet with the 22081281AC model number.
A CMIIT certification confirmed 5G and Wi-Fi 802.11ac connectivity, while a 3C listing indicated it may include a 67W charger. When the device is released, it’s unclear if it’ll be called the Redmi Pad 5G.
MediaTek could power the Redmi Pad 5G, according to Xiaomiui. Future versions might feature powerful chipsets, resulting in a Pro variant. According to the publication, the Redmi Pad 5G will come with MIUI Lite, which is designed for low-end devices.
According to reports, the company is developing four tablets for the Chinese market. As the Redmi Pad 5G, the 22081281AC (shortened model number: L81A) will replace the L81, L82, and L83 devices. A recent report revealed that Redmi Pad 5G may debut in India soon. Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G all appear to belong to the upcoming Xiaomi Pad series.
