Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, was also the co-founder of OnePlus, and there are many similarities between the two companies, especially in marketing. The company has run a campaign that is similar to OnePlus’ for its upcoming phone (1), releasing tiny (or large) tidbits every now and then to keep the phone in the news for weeks. It turns out Nothing will also use an early OnePlus strategy for its first smartphone: the invite-only model.
Irrespective of whether you like it or dislike it, the OnePlus One was undeniably unique when it launched. The Nothing phone (1) will be sold by invitation only at first. Carl Pei is a good marketer and creates buzz about mobile devices. So you can say what you want about him.
The invite system is discussed at the end of the video above (starting at 13:20), which Nothing premiered today. The video explains the phone’s design and manufacturing process, informing us that recycled aluminum is used.
Nothing will be able to sell its products faster since it won’t have to wait until the stock is accumulated before shipping. This will also ensure the first people to receive a phone (1) are “in the community”. The “people who deserve it the most”. When the customer is satisfied, the company is “more than happy to expand”.

Further, we have also spotted the alleged Nothing phone (1) passing through Geekbench. The new Nothing phone (1) is listed as Nothing A063 which is running on Android 12 OS out of the box. The sad fact is that Nothing phone (1) will not be powered by the latest SD 7 Gen 1 SoC after all.
The listing cleared the doubt and confirmed that Nothing phone (1) will come with SD778G+ SoC. It is coupled with Adreno 642L GPU & 8GB RAM plus 128GB/256GB storage space. The device secured 797 single-core points and 2,803 points on the multi-core test.
