Acer has now announced its new range of laptops for 2022 at the annual Acer Global Press Conference. The new range of Swift and Spin ranges – Acer Swift 3 OLED, Spin 5, and Spin 3.
Acer Swift 3 OLED:
Design:
Acer Swift 3 OLED is the next laptop that comes under the performance category. Acer Swift 3 OLED ultra-thin and stylish design which is made out of aluminum chassis and a magnesium-aluminum palm. It has also been certified as an Intel Evo platform laptop design. Both the variants measure only 18.75 mm thin, weighing just 1.4kg.
Specs:
The new Acer Swift 3 OLED sports 14 inches FHD OLED WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800 pixels) screen with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified. The device comes with 100% of the sRGB color gamut.
Acer Swift 3 OLED is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i7 (Intel Core i7-12700H/12650H)/i5 processors (Intel Core i5-12500H/12450H). The Acer Swift OLED is coupled with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and supports up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage. It comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics & Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.
The connectivity options include USB-C, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4, HDMI 2.1, Wifi-6E, Bluetooth 5.1 & fingerprint scanner. It packs 58.7Wh which lasts for 17.5 hours on a single charge.
Pricing:
The new Acer Swift 3 OLED will start from $899 (Rs.67,999/-) in the US. It will come in two colors grey and gold colors.
Acer Spin 5:
The next device is a hybrid laptop with Acer Spin 5 which can be converted to a tablet as the rotatable screen up to 360 degrees. Acer Spin 5 sports 14 inches WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS LCD touch display. With a 360-degree hinge and custom-designed bearings, you can easily switch between various modes, including laptop, stand, tent, or tablet.
The Acer Spin 5 is powered by Intel Core i7-1260P or Intel Core i5-1240P processor coupled with Iris Xe graphics. It comes with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and supports up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage. The device also supports Acer Active Stylus & gets a Power keycap fingerprint reader with an on-chip matching design. It measures 16.9mm thick & weighs 1.3Kg.
The connectivity options include two Type-C USB ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, Wifi 6E & DTS Audio support. The Acer Spin 5 can last for about 13 hours on a single charge.
The Spin 5 is priced at $1349 (Rs.1,04,900/-) & will go on sale in July 22.
