In the past, we saw Qualcomm launching the SD778G+ SoC which was the last chipset that was announced last year. After that, we didn’t get any 7 series chipset launched by the company to date. Now finally we have finally got a massive leak that reveals the key specs of the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
As per the post on Weibo, the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC will be the final name for the upcoming Qualcomm mid-range chipset. The processor will arrive with four cores of Cortex A710 along with the remaining four cores of Cortex A510. This confirms that the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC will come with the latest ARM V9 architecture.
Further, the chipset gets the powerful Adreno 662 GPU which is the successor SD888 SoC powered Adreno 660 GPU. So we can expect a massive improvement in terms of gaming as the GPU is almost equivalent to the flagship level. So probably Qualcomm is launching the best alternative to MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.
This chipset also comes with powerful Cortex cores which are based on the latest architecture when compared with the older ones on the Dimensity 8100 SoC. More details about the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC will be out in the coming weeks.
