Samsung has finally begun teasing for its much-awaited M-series smartphone aka the Galaxy M53 5G. Samsung has gained a lot of customers for its powerful specs and decent pricing for the M50 series in the past. But it might disappoint many with this year’s Galaxy M53 5G.

Samsung has officially announced that Galaxy M53 5G will make its global debut with Vietnam on March 27. The teaser reveals the first look of the device which might disappoint many as the original arrived with a punch-hole notch & this year it is going back with an Infinity-U display. Yes, the Galaxy M53 5G will feature a waterdrop notch this year which is a major setback for many as it will be priced under 30K in India.

Further, the back of the device features quad-cameras under the square-shaped camera module. The design is almost similar to Galaxy M33 5G with no change at all. The teaser confirmed that Galaxy M53 5G will indeed come with a 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ AMOLED display.

Specs:

The Galaxy M53 5G will sport a larger 6.7 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to sport center punch-hole display similar to its predecessor. Further, the back design of the Galaxy M53 5G will disappoint for sure as it’s similar to last year’s Galaxy F62.

The most disappointing factor is the downgrade of the processor on the Galaxy M53 5G which will now ship with Dimensity 900 SoC. Yes, the device just got a major downgrade in terms of performance. Further, the device comes in two storage variants with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

With performance downgrade, we have some major upgrades in terms of cameras on Galaxy M53 5G. Now the Galaxy M53 5G might become the first mid-range phone from Samsung to ship with a 108MP main sensor. It will be coupled with 8MP ultra-wide coupled with dual 2MP depth plus macro sensor. It will feature a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.

All this is backed by the same 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
