Samsung is about to introduce two new premium mid-range phones with Galaxy A53 & Galaxy A73 5G later this month. Ahead of the launch we already got the detailed specs sheet with pricing and renders of the Galaxy A53. Now we have spotted the alleged Galaxy A73 5G hitting on Geekbench ahead of the launch.
As per the listing, the new Galaxy A73 5G is listed as SM-A736B which is indeed running on the latest Android 12 OS out of the box. As we saw Samsung launching the Galaxy A52s 5G last year with powerful SD778G SoC. Now the same chipset will power the new Galaxy A73 5G, yes the SD778G SoC is powering the device now.
It is coupled with 8GB RAM and might be coupled with 128GB internal storage space. The device secured not so impressive 778 under single and 2913 under multi-core test. Apart from this nothing much about the new Galaxy A73 5G is revealed at the moment.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G:
Similar to the Galaxy A72, the Galaxy A73 5G includes a punch-hole display on the front and four cameras housed in a camera bump on the back, along with an LED flashlight.
There is a power button and volume rocker on its right-side frame, as well as a USB-C port and microphone on the bottom of the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G. The 3.5mm headphone port has been removed from the bottom of the phone, making way for the SIM card tray.
Keep in mind that the actual product may differ slightly from the renderings below, which were made by Technizo Concept and LetsGoDigital based on rumors.
For biometric authentication, the Galaxy A73 5G is rumored to contain the Snapdragon 750G processor at its core. It will ship with a 6.7″ FullHD+ AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner beneath. This is the screen refresh rate of the Galaxy A72, which is 90Hz. However, it is rumored that the panel will be made by Chinese manufacturers.
Galaxy A73 5G is expected to be made of plastic and have an IP67 rating, according to the source. A 108MP primary camera is expected to be included in the A73 5G. But the other three cameras are still unknown.
A 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging is expected to be included in the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A72 in March, but the Galaxy A73 5G isn’t slated to be released until Q2 2022. That means it will arrive later than expected.
