Google is all set to bring the cheaper Pixel 6a later this year. In the past, Google announces the Google I/O 2022 which is been scheduled for May 11. There were many rumors about Google might introduce the Pixel 6a at the event. But the latest leak has a completely different story to tell for the new Pixel 6a.

As per the tipster, Google might again delay the launch of the new Pixel 6a. Yes, the tipster confirmed that Google will now launch the budget Pixel aka Pixel 6a on July 28 & not in May anymore. The reason behind the delay is probably an ongoing chip shortage issue. Google might announce the Pixel 6a at the Google I/O event in May but launch in many regions is pushed.

The Pixel 6a has codenamed Bluejay & comes in three colors White, Black & Green.

Pixel 6a:

Pixel 6a measures 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm, which is noticeably smaller than the regular Pixel 6, which measures 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9mm. Additionally, the camera should have a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor, 6/8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Speculation suggests that the chipset will be either the Google Tensor SoC like on the Pixel 6 duo or the Snapdragon 778G.
There is no headphone jack on Pixel 6a, so it would be the first A-series phone from Google without one. As for the software, Android 12 will cover the phone, and Google will probably provide at least three years of support.
