Sony introduced the new flagship Sony Xperia 5 III last year sometime in Oct. It was powered by SD888 SoC and never made its way to India. Now one of the popular Chinese tipsters has leaked the details about the upcoming Sony flagship Sony Xperia 5 IV.
As per the tipster, the new Sony Xperia 5 IV will again turn out to be the compact flagship from the company. The Sony Xperia 5 IV will sport 6.1 inches probably FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both fronts as well as the back of the device.
The surprise element is the chipset powering the Sony Xperia 5 IV will now be the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. The latest chipset is manufactured by TSMC 4nm process. Its coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.
The Sony Xperia 5 IV will come with the same set of triple rear cameras as its predecessor. The device features a 12MP main Exmor RF sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, a Hybrid OIS/EIS with Carl Zeiss lens, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and 124-degrees FOV. Lastly, 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 3X optical zoom, OIS/EIS and LED flash. The device weighs over 180g and might launch soon.
The Sony Xperia 5 IV will pack a larger 4700 mAh battery and run on Android 12 OS out of the box. The source also revealed that Sony Xperia 5 IV will cost 5000 Yuan (Rs.59,000/-) in China.
