MediaTek is about to launch the new mid-range chipset with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC next. In the past, we saw some leaks hinting that Dimensity 8100 SoC will be overclocked variant of Dimensity 8000 SoC. Now the tipster has managed to leak the complete details for the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.
As per the source, the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC will come with four cores of Cortex A78 clocked at 2.85GHz speed. It is coupled with four Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. Yet again the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC is built on an older 5nm process similar to SD888 SoC.
The chipset is likely to come with a new G610 MC6 GPU but the tipster has revealed the benchmark results of the G510 MC6 GPU. The chipset will come with support for UFS 3.1 storage & LPDDR5 RAM. The report also claims that the GPU on the Dimensity 8100 SoC is equivalent to that of the Adreno 660 GPU on the SD888 series.
Lastly, the tipster revealed that Dimensity 8100 SoC will likely to make its debut with the Redmi K50 series later next month. Apart from this nothing much about the Dimensity 8100 SoC is revealed.
