iQOO announced the new iQOO 9 series last week in China. Recently we even saw iQOO already started teasing the iQOO 9 series launch in India. We even saw the listing on the iQOO website that confirms that iQOO 9 will be a completely different phone after all.
Now we have got a new leak from a reliable tipster hinting about the iQOO 9 series will come with some minor changes in India. As per the source, the new iQOO 9 will not come with the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC instead ship with outdated SD888 SoC. Further, the iQOO 9 Pro will be the only device to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
The source confirmed that the Indian variant of iQOO 9 will be a mix of China’s launched iQOO 9 & iQOO 8. Further, he also specified the new iQOO 9 series will not be the same one launched in China instead there will be some hardware or features removed. This is to keep the cost of the product low and allow them to price aggressively in India.
