Now Xiaomi is all set to launch its first set of a flagship with Xiaomi 12 series later this month. Ahead of the launch one of the Chinese tipsters has leaked the alleged pricing details of the Xiaomi 12.
According to the leaks, the new Xiaomi 12 series might cost more than its predecessor after all. Yes, the tipster revealed that the ongoing chip shortage with rising in prices for all the smartphone components is forcing Xiaomi to increase the cost of the flagship this year. With some brands having already acquired lots of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC before New Year will be pricing under the 4000 Yuan (Rs.47,600/-) mark.
And those brands who are releasing their flagship after the New Year might face a rise in Chip costs due to chip shortage. The tipster’s previous leak about Moto keeping the prices of Motorola Edge X30 under 4000 Yuan has turned out to be true after all. Now the tipster has hinted that Xiaomi might finally break the 4000 Yuan mark and launch the Xiaomi 12 starting at 4200 Yuan (Rs.49,900/-) in China.
Further, the Xiaomi 12 series with 2K AMOLED display will cost over 5000 Yuan (Rs.59,500/-) in China.
