With Qualcomm unveiling the flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 last week. Within a week after the announcement, we have the world’s first smartphone powering the chipset with Motorola Edge X30. The new Motorola Edge X30 goes official in China today. It comes in two different models the Motorola Edge X30 with traditional punch-hole notch & Motorola Edge X30 Special Edition which features an Under-display camera.
Specs:
The Motorola Edge X30 looks similar to any other Motorola device in the past with a center punch-hole notch and triple rear cameras. It measures 8.49mm thick and weighs around 194g. The new Motorola Edge X30 features 6.7 inches FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It also comes with HDR10+, 10 bit color & DCI-P3 color space with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The new Motorola Edge X30 is the first phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage space. The device comes with a 50MP main OV50A40 sensor with f/1.88 aperture & OIS coupled with a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1SQ03 118-degrees ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Lastly, there is a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The new Motorola Edge X30 features a whopping 60MP OV60A40 selfie camera with f/2.2 and 4K video recording support. Do note that the Special Edition too features the same selfie camera but it is hidden under the display. Sadly, the new Motorola Edge X30 still features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with IP52 certification. It also comes with Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G NSA, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Frequency GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack & NFC. All this is backed by a larger 5000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.
Pricing:
The Motorola Edge X30 with 8GB+128GB cost 3199 Yuan (Rs.38,000/-), 8GB+256GB at 3399 Yuan (Rs.40,500/-) & 12GB+512GB at 3599 Yuan (Rs.42,800/-) in China. The new Motorola Edge X30 Special Edition costs 3999 Yuan (Rs.47,500/-) in China. The device will go on sale from Dec 15.
