After the launch of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC which will be powering major of the Chinese flagship next year. The company has not stopped working on the new processor in fact we have a new leak for the upcoming mid-range chipset. Yes, MediaTek is also planning to launch the cheaper Dimensity 8000 SoC next.
As per the Chinese tipster, MediaTek is all set to launch the powerful mid-range chipset with Dimensity 8000 SoC next. The source also leaked the chipset details on Weibo today. According to the post, the Dimensity 8000 SoC will be based on the older 5nm process which will be made by TSMC.
The Dimensity 8000 SoC will come with four Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.75 GHz along with four Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. It is coupled with Mali G510 MC6 GPU. Further, the Dimensity 8000 SoC can support FHD+ display upto 168Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution display at 120Hz. Apart from this the chipset also supports the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The Dimensity 8000 SoC will come with 75W fast charging support too. Lastly, the tipster revealed that Realme & Redmi will make use of the Dimensity 8000 SoC more next year.
