About a year after the original Redmi Smart Band was released, the much-anticipated Redmi Smart Band Pro was officially unveiled. The new edition, on the other hand, is more feature-rich and better equipped, as implied by its name.
To begin, we have a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a maximum brightness of 450 nits and a pixel density of 282 PPI. While the screen is composed of 2.5D tempered glass, the body is polycaprolactam (a form of nylon, plastic), reinforced with glass fiber, and it can withstand submersion up to 50 meters deep. Soft silicone is used for the strap, of course.
An accelerometer, gyroscope, and a passive pulse oximeter (PPG) are all standard components of the device. There’s also a light sensor here for adjusting the display’s brightness on the go. More than 110 different types of workouts can be detected using the device’s sensors, including 15 professional settings, according to Redmi. The ability to track SpO2 (blood oxygen) is also included in the list of capabilities.
A 200 mAh battery powers everything, and it’s recharged with a little magnetic cable. The Redmi Smart Band Pro has a 14-day battery life on normal use and a 20-day battery life on power-saving mode.
Redmi Watch 2 Lite:
The Redmi Watch 2 Lite, on the other hand, is a scaled-down version of the original and has a squarer design than the Band. The display has a resolution of 320 × 360 pixels and is a 1.55-inch LCD. There are the same sensors within, as well as GPS. Also, it has a five-star ATM rating.
The battery in the device has been increased to 262 mAh. It should last you 10 days with moderate usage or 5 days with severe usage. Also notable is the watch’s 14-hour runtime in GPS mode.
Redmi hasn’t provided any pricing or availability information, so those will have to wait for now.
