Even though it had a mid-season refresh, the Galaxy A52 5G is an outdated model, and its replacement is slated to arrive in the first quarter of 2019. OnLeaks and Digit have provided 3D renderings based on CAD models, so you don’t have to wait that long to get a glimpse of what it will look like.
With the exception of a few minor refinements, the design has remained largely unchanged. The sides are less curved (but they are not fully flat either), and the camera hump now flows into the rear with a gentler curve, resulting in a more seamless transition from front to back.
Indeed, the phone measures 8.14 mm without the bump and 9.73 mm with it, which is less than one millimeter apart in both dimensions, according to the manufacturer (the A52 5G measures 8.4 mm).
The Galaxy A53 5G will be the last device to include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is absent from the device’s outer design. Other aspects of the phone, such as the 120 Hz AMOLED display and the 64 MP primary camera on the back, are not expected to alter.
According to recent reports, the A53 will be available in four colors: black, white, light blue, and orange. It is expected to go on sale in the first three months of next year.
