Jio is working on a low-cost notebook called the JioBook, according to XDA Developers. As seen on the Geekbench benchmarking site (via) today, the corporation may be internally testing its performance.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently discovered JioBook models NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM. Geekbench now has the NB1112MM model’s important specs.
The NB1112MM type JioBook notebook has a MediaTek MT6788 CPU and 2 GB RAM. It ran on Android 11. The device earned 1178 and 4246 points on Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
According to XDA, the JioBook’s display will have a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution. The device’s screen size is unknown. The Snapdragon 665 chipset will be used in the notebook, together with a Snapdragon X12 modem for 4G connectivity.
The JioBook will come with 2 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32 GB eMMC storage. The higher-end model may have 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB eMMC 5.1.
Apart from 4G LTE, JioBook should have dual-band Wi-Fi and HDMI. Naturally, Jio apps like JioStore, JioPages, and JioMeet will be available. Microsoft products like Edge, Office, and Teams should be included. The MediaTek model suggests there may be various SoC models of the JioBook.
