After a few months of speculation, Samsung has now confirmed that the Galaxy S22 range will be priced just like the S21 line when it launches.
As a result of challenges with the production of the new Exynos 2200 CPU and a general lack of chips, Samsung may have altered its mind. Gallox claims that the prices of the Galaxy S22 series could rise by up to $100, with the S22 Ultra taking the top spot in the price increase range:
Galaxy S22 will cost $849 when it launches.
Galaxy S22+ will cost $1049 when it goes on sale.
Launch pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S22 is $1299
Be aware that this pricing is only applicable to 256GB devices, as Samsung is said to be planning to double the storage capacity of the Galaxy S22 range from the outset. As a result, its phones will stand out even more from Apple’s iPhone 13 series, which has a standard storage capacity of 128GB. How much would you be willing to spend to get an additional 128GB of storage?
Unless you buy the S22 Ultra for $1299, you’ll have to pay an extra $1 for the same 128GB of storage, but you’ll also get a Note-like phone with a stylus silo, something the S21 Ultra can’t give.
