Xiaomi will soon launch the Redmi Watch 2 and the Redmi Smart Band Pro fitness tracker under its Redmi subsidiary. Now we may show the device.
The new Redmi Smart Band Pro is expected to be officially unveiled on October 28, 2021, and go on sale throughout Europe, including likely Germany, shortly thereafter. Presumably, Xiaomi aims to position the device as a cheaper fitness tracker with smartwatch functionality than the Huawei Watch Fit.
Sadly no update about the pricing or technical details for the Redmi Smart Band Pro. It looks like a broader, more angular Xiaomi Mi Band 6 on the official marketing render images we have. The software’s user interface is likewise extremely similar, so owners of other Mi Fitness products should not notice much of a difference.
The images also show a plastic casing with a flat frame. It is similar to the current Mi Watch models and the Redmi Watch 2. The device’s wristbands can be easily changed by just pressing the mechanical locks.
The energy is re-supplied using a specific charging cable. That connects to any USB power source and two pins on the gadget. The Redmi Smart Band Pro attaches to the user’s arm using a silicone wristband with a single pin instead of a traditional clasp.
