According to the Korean media outlet The Elec, Samsung is preparing to begin mass production of the Galaxy S22 series, indicating that the S22’s specifications and design designs have been more or less finalized at this point.

Granted, we’d heard that Samsung would be debating whether to name the S22 Ultra a Note 22 Ultra. Also whether to shape the camera area into a P or 11 forms, both of which you can see in the prototypes. But it seems that the naming standard has been decided on as S22 Ultra after all.

The report even breaks down the production share of the three expected S22 phones – approximately 50-60 percent for the 6.1″ S22, 20 percent for the S22+, and the remaining 30 percent for the 6.8″ S22 Ultra – indicating a significant shift for the middle child, whose predecessor, the S21+, had a 30 percent production share planned from the start of the project’s development.

Because the Plus models don’t provide much beyond a larger screen when compared to the smaller, more cheap model, this is understandable.  Especially considering that for a little more money you can buy the Ultra model, which is a fully-loaded flagship device.

In the case of the S22 Ultra, which will have an S Pen silo inside the device similar to the Note models of old. It would include everything from the kitchen sink in terms of Samsung’s technical capabilities. This split would be much more applicable.
