Google has finally announced its much-awaited flagship of 2021 with the new Google Pixel 6 & Google Pixel 6 Pro. After almost two years of wait, Google is re-entering into the flagship segment this year with the new Google Pixel 6 series. Not just that the new Google Pixel 6 series will also make Google’s debut with a custom chip.
Google Pixel 6 & Google Pixel 6 Pro:
Google Pixel 6 series will include two new flagships with the new Google Pixel 6 & Google Pixel 6 Pro. Both the new Google Pixel 6 & Google Pixel 6 Pro looks identical in terms of design and only differ in terms of internals. The new Google Pixel 6 measures 8.2mm thick whereas the Google Pixel 6 Pro with 8.9mm.
Both the new Google Pixel 6 & Google Pixel 6 Pro comes with a huge camera bump on the back that looks ugly. The Google Pixel 6 will arrive in three colors with Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black. Pixel 6 Pro comes in Cloudy White, Stormy Black & Sorta Sunny colors. Pixel 6 Pro weighs 210g whereas Pixel 6 at 207g.
Specs:
The new Google Pixel 6 will sport 6.4 inches FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED flat punch-hole display. The new Google Pixel 6 Pro sports a larger 6.7 inches QHD+ 120Hz refresh rate LTPO curved display. Both of them come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It also gets HDR10+ support.
The new Google Pixel 6 series is powered by the new Tensor SoC which comes with an 848MHz Mali-G78 GPU & Titan M2 security chip. Both the devices come with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options.
Google Pixel 6 features dual rear cameras whereas the new Google Pixel 6 Pro comes with a triple camera setup. The Google Pixel 6 comes with a 50MP main Samsung GN1 sensor with f/1.85 aperture coupled with Sony IMX386 12MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. The Google Pixel 6 Pro features the same two sensors as above but includes an additional 48MP telephoto camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. The Pixel 6 Pro also features 4x optical zoom. Both the Pixel 6 & 6 Pro can shoot 4K videos at 60fps.
The Pixel 6 Pro will feature the 12MP Sony IMX663 selfie shooter with a 94-degrees FOV. The Pixel 6 comes with an 8MP selfie shooter.
The new Pixel 6 series will also feature IP68 rated dust and water resistance and also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Pixel 6 Pro comes with a new Cirrus Logic CS35L41 amp. Both the Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro also comes with Stereo speakers.
The Pixel 6 packs a 4614 mAh battery whereas the Pixel 6 Pro with massive 5000 mAh battery. Both of them come with 30W fast wired charging and 21W/23W wireless charging support. It runs on the latest Android 12 OS out of the box.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM, Wifi-6E, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2LE, USB Type-C port, NFC, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, 5G with mmWave support.
Pricing & Availability:
The new Pixel 6 with 8GB+128GB will cost $599 (Rs.45,000/-) & 8GB+256GB at $699 (Rs.52,500/-) in the US. The Pixel 6 Pro with 12GB+128GB cost $899 (Rs.65,000/-), $999 (Rs.75,000/-) for 8GB+256GB & $1099 (Rs.85,600/-) for 12GB+512GB. As of now no word of an Indian launch at the moment.
