Apple has handed out invitations for its next event on Monday, October 18, and did so today. As is customary, neither the invitations nor the announcement makes any allusion to the event’s subject matter.

If past events are any indication, Apple’s ‘Unleashed’ presentation will focus on its Mac computer line. The most eagerly awaited news is the introduction of the latest generation of ARM-based M-series processors from the business.

Apple is expected to release new Mac models along with the new CPU. A New 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M1 successor is the most likely option, but a new Mac mini has also been discussed.

The next-generation Mac Pro is also expected to be shown off, if not fully unveiled. Since Apple said two years ago that it would complete its transition to the ARM’s platform by the end of 2021, the Mac Pro is the only machine in the company’s range that does not have an ARM-based version at this time.

We’ll have to watch how many of these rumors and ideas come to reality in the next six days.
