A new phone sensor from Samsung with 200 Megapixels has been announced, the ISOCELL HP1. According to the company, they have started shipping the sensors to manufacturers but didn’t indicate which ones. New leaks indicate Xiaomi may be one of these manufacturers as it is in the process of developing a phone with 200 megapixels.
Xiaomi is expected to follow up the Mi 11 series next year with the Mi Xiaomi 12 series. Further, one of the models will have two primary cameras, one of which will have a 200MP sensor. Digital Chat Station, a Chinese leaker, revealed the information on Weibo.
Xiaomi’s next-generation flagship will feature dual cameras capable of 200MP plus 50MP. Xiaomi’s next-gen flagship will be in the Xiaomi 12 series. It will be based on Samsung being the only other camera manufacturer to announce a 200MP sensor. Additionally, Xiaomi revealed that the company’s mid-range and high-end phones will retain 108MP and 64MP sensors.
Xiaomi has plans to release a phone with a 200MP camera, which is no surprise. It stands to reason that Xiaomi would launch a phone with a 200MP camera alongside the Mi CC9 Pro, which had a 108MP sensor.
