On September 9, Vivo will unveil the X70 lineup, which is expected to consist of three smartphones – the X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro +. The company hasn’t released the specifications of these devices yet, but the company today confirmed that the X70 lineup will feature a 2K E5 display with a cutout in the middle for the selfie camera.
Vivo didn’t disclose whether all three models will feature 2K E5 screens, but the Pro+ variant is likely to have one. Meanwhile, Chinese certifying authority TENAA has certified three vivo smartphones with model numbers V2132A, V2133A, and V2145A – believed to be part of the X70 lineup of smartphones.
V2132A and V2133A are said to be vanilla X70s, whereas V2145A is a Pro+.
Vivo X70 Pro+:
V2145A features a 3GHz quad-core CPU (could be Snapdragon 888+), Android 11 with 8GB/12GB of RAM, and 256GB/512GB of internal storage. There’s a fingerprint reader under the 6.78″ AMOLED screen, which has a 3,200×1,440-pixel resolution.
It comes with a 32MP selfie camera and a four-camera system on the back with 50MP, 48MP, 12MP, and 8MP sensors. It can also record 8K video with 5x optical zoom.
The V2145A measures 8.89mm thick, weighs 209 grams, and has a 4,430 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
Vivo X70:
While the V2132A and V2133A both share most of the specs, the former is powered by an octa-core processor with 2.8GHz, while the latter has a 3GHz processor with up to 6GB of RAM. One can choose from 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage.
As for the rest of the specs, it has a 6.56″ FullHD+ AMOLED screen, Android 11, a 4,320mAh battery with fast charging, and a 32MP selfie camera.
You’ll be able to record 8K videos, as well as 2x optical zoom, on both versions’ rear panels. There will be three cameras, one 40MP and two 12MP units.
Since leaked renders and posters have revealed the design of these X70 smartphones, TENAA’s listings do not include pictures of them.
Vivo X70 Pro:
A listing of the X70 Pro has revealed its pricing and design renderings. A quad-camera setup can be found on its white rear panel. As well as the camera module, the rectangular LED flash is housed within. Power and volume buttons are located to the right of the device. SIM card tray, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille are located on the bottom edge.
It has a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED screen with a hole-punched cutout at the top. There is also a price listed on the listing for the device. Two types of storage will be available. It costs CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 56,600) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant, whereas it costs CNY 5499 (roughly Rs 62,200) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. The listing states that the phone will be available in three colors: Darkest, Monologue, and Nebula.
The battery capacity will be 4,380 mAh. Fast charging is supported at 55W, according to the specifications. Besides the Type-C port and 186-gram weight, other details include NFC support. The dimensions of the phone are 158.30×73.21×8.08mm. MediaTek’s Density 1200 SoC is also said to be used for power.
Origin OS 1.0 could be installed outside of China on the phone, which runs Android 11.
