Imagine a 108MP camera on a purported midrange a year ago. In fact, according to Elec, Samsung will use that camera sensor in the forthcoming Galaxy A73 next year.
Except for the 200MP camera that has yet to find a commercial port, the Galaxy A73’s sensor will be optically stabilized for the ideal picture. Xiaomi, for example, provides 108MP sensors and sophisticated telephoto lenses in the same price range as the A73.
On the Galaxy S20, Samsung introduced its first 100MP+ sensor, which is currently on the S21 Ultra. It’s still unconfirmed whether the Galaxy A73 will ever come out with a 108MP main sensor.
Although smaller in resolution than its 108MP predecessors, Samsung’s new 50MP GN2 sensor has bigger pixels and better light sensitivity, as well as improved focusing.
Samsung may have determined that the next generation of 50MP ISOCELL sensors will shine in 2022 if the 108MP unit is making its way down to the midrange.
On the A73’s release date, the source suggests it will be sometime next year, perhaps in March/April like its predecessor. Samsung will utilize its 108MP sensors for the first time in the midrange A-series. Currently has a 64MP primary camera, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto, and 5MP macro.
