In the second half of 2021, Xiaomi will release a bunch of devices. Every once in a while, we learn more about these products. According to a new leak, the first IP68-certified Redmi phone for China will be released soon.
Digital Chat Station reports that Xiaomi is working on dust and water-resistant Redmi-branded smartphones. Apparently, this device will support 120W fast charging and have dual stereo speakers. This will not be the first Redmi device to be IP68 certified, since that honor belongs to the Redmi Note 10 JE, which was exclusive to Japan.
It seems like this is a high-end smartphone, based on the features. There is a possibility that it will be released as Redmi K40 Ultra. According to the reports, the Redmi phone could be the international variant of the Xiaomi 11T Pro, which is said to have similar specs.
Furthermore, the Redmi K50 may also belong to this handset. Additionally, it may be part of an upcoming lineup. In any case, we should learn more about this phone within the next few days.
For a long time, Xiaomi has not launched any entry-level or budget smartphones in China. Last year, the Redmi Note 9 4G was the most affordable phone available. While in international markets, the same brand has continued to focus on its old segments.
