You’d think Xiaomi would stop extending the Redmi 9 series now that the Redmi 10 is official, but the firm isn’t done yet. The Redmi 9A Sport and Redmi 9i Sport have P2i coating for splash-proofing. But obviously Chinese business felt a little more element resistance is all they needed to remain competitive a year later.

The Redmi 9 Activ gets a new 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant with two colors. The basic version remains 4GB/64GB, thus the upgrade option is new. The Redmi 9i Sport and 9A Sport have almost similar chipsets, camera setups, bodies, and screens, with the 9A having a slightly brighter display.

The distinction is based on memory variations. This phone features 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage, whereas the 9i Sport has just 32GB storage and 2GB or 3GB RAM.

The Redmi 9A Sport is the cheapest and starts at Rs.6,999. The Redmi 9i Sport costs INR 8,799/- in India.
