The realme Band 2 is the firm’s second-generation smart band and the successor to the realme Band, which was introduced last year. According to the company, the realme Band 2 was released in India today. The Realme Band 2 has a larger screen, a bigger battery, and a look similar to the Honor Band 6.
The Realme Band 2 has a 1.4″ color touchscreen with 320×167 pixel resolution and a 500 nit maximum brightness. It has over 50 watch faces and you may design your own by uploading a photo from your linked smartphone.
The OG Realme Band’s health and fitness functions are carried over to the Realme Band 2. There’s also a sedentary reminder and a water drink reminder. With the new SpO2 sensor you can monitor your blood oxygen levels as well as track your stress levels.
The Realme Band 2 has 90 sports modes compared to the first-gen Band’s nine. Initially, the Realme Band 2 will only monitor yoga, outdoor/indoor walking, running, cricket, basketball, pool swimming, and football. The others will get OTA support later.
Realme’s smartwatches, including the Watch 2 Pro, already include Smart AIoT Control. It lets you manage the company’s AIoT equipment without using your smartphone if it’s connected to IoT devices.
There’s also a 50-meter water-resistant rating and music and video control on the Realme Band 2. The Realme Band 2 has a 204 mAh battery that lasts 12 days. As for the connection, the smart band utilizes Goodix’s Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) SoC, which “enables ultra-low power operation with excellent radio performance.”
Realme Band 2 is controlled via the Realme Link app on Android 5.1+/iOS 11+ smartphones. The wearable weighs 27.3 grams and comes in one color, Space Grey, but the straps come in a variety of colors, one of which seems to be leather.
The realme Band 2 is available in one color, black, and is priced at Rs.2999. It will be available through realme.com, Flipkart, and select offline retailers beginning on September 27th. Straps will be available in a variety of colors in the near future.
