POCO unveiled a new smartphone, which will be available on September 30th, only a few short days ago. The teaser poster for the event alluded to the new gadget, which will be released as part of the company’s C-series of smartphones. POCO has let the cat out of the bag and announced that the new phone will be known as the POCO C31 when it launches later this year. Yes, it is a significant step forward from C3.
A brief teaser video released on Twitter today verified the phone’s name and also provided us with our first glimpse at the gadget in action.
It is revealed to feature a waterdrop notch, thin side bezels, and a larger bottom bezel, all of which are typical for mid-range smartphones. Because of this, the teaser does not include any images of the phone’s rear. Although it seems unlikely, there is a possibility that we may get a complete unveiling of the device, as well as confirmation of some of its specs, before the launch on Thursday.
The new phone should be reasonably priced, and it is expected to debut as a direct competitor to the Realme C25Y, which was released in India only a few weeks ago. It is powered by the Unisoc T610 processor and has a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ display, 50MP triple rear cameras, a 5000mAh battery, and is available for a price of 10,999 (about $149).
