Speculation has circulated for some time that Google is considering entering the foldable smartphone market with its own Pixel folding phone. According to a recent leak from David Naranjo, Senior Director at Display Supply Chain Consultants, the Google Pixel Fold is expected to debut in the fourth quarter of 2021 and will use an LTPO OLED display, according to the report.
However, Google has not announced the Pixel Fold at this time. The Pixel 6 series is scheduled to debut on October 19. Google has already given an early peek at the design and specifications of the duo’s devices. When it comes to Q4, which runs from October 1 to December 31, there is a good possibility the Pixel Fold will be announced as “just one more thing” during the Pixel 6 event, or it will be released later this year, depending on when the event occurs.
The GPQ72 model number and “Passport” code name, which are purportedly associated with the Pixel foldable phone. It was leaked earlier this year on a list of unannounced Pixel phones. We don’t know what the Pixel Fold will look like at the moment. But a previous patent filing from Google revealed that the Android manufacturer is planning to introduce an under-screen camera. That is believed to debut on the foldable device.
