There isn’t a Z4 in this collection, which isn’t surprising for two reasons: iQOO skipped Z2 and went straight to Z3; iQOO also skipped the number four, which is often bypassed by Chinese companies since it is considered unfortunate in the Asian nation.
The iQOO Z3 5G, which was launched in March in China and had its worldwide debut in June, will be succeeded by the iQOO Z5, which will be released on September 23.
Having said that, although iQOO hasn’t revealed the Z5’s whole set of specifications, the company has confirmed that the device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 778G SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
Three versions are expected to be released as part of the Z5 series: a basic model (Z5), a Pro model (Z5 Pro), and an X model (Z5x). However, iQOO has not yet confirmed this.
With the formal launch of the Z5 still more than a week away, you can expect iQOO to release additional information about the device in the weeks leading up to it.
The iQOO Z5 will be launched in China on September 23rd and shortly in India. Industry insiders said iQOO is readying the smartphone for the nation. The iQOO Z5 is unique to Amazon India. There’s no news on when the iQOO Z5 will be released in India, but if this earlier rumor is to be believed, it’ll be in September. The device will replace the iQOO Z3, which was released in China in March and internationally in June.
