The Oppo Pad is expected to debut at the same time as the company’s much-anticipated Reno7 series smartphones. The Chinese electronics company is gearing up to jump on the tablet bandwagon. Speculations have been swirling around Oppo’s first tablet, dubbed the Oppo Pad. The existence of the tablet was initially teased on Weibo by noted leaker Digital Chat Station last month.

It is likely that Oppo Pad will be released in conjunction with its much-anticipated Reno7 smartphone series. China’s consumer electronics giant is well aware that it is going to get on board with the tablet craze. Oppo Pad, the company’s first tablet, has been subject to speculation. Digital Chat Station initially teased the tablet’s existence on Weibo last month.

Oppo Pad Renders:

OPPO today announced its ColorOS 12 will debut in September. Publications like official wallpapers are even available for download from the company. A popular leaker uploaded an image showing a tablet running ColorOS 12 around the same time.

In a recent post, Digital Chat Station shared a picture of a smartphone and a tablet running ColorOS 12 along with a smartwatch. We were able to obtain the image from ITHome after the tipster removed the post.

OPPO has confirmed that it will be releasing a tablet using ColorOS 12. We also get to see the first glimpse of ColorOS for tablets. The UI is heavily influenced by iPadOS.

From what I am able to see, the tablet has volume controls on the right side. It appears that the power button will be on the top since there is no key visible on the bottom and left sides. On top of this, we also notice the rounded corners of the tablet,

OPPO is reportedly developing foldable tablets as well as software for foldable phones. Along with the OPPO Reno7 series, a tablet will also be released first. On the other hand, at the end of this month, OPPO is planning to debut a new smartwatch.

In addition, the ColorOS for tablets can be experienced without waiting for any OPPO-branded tablet. Due to realme UI running on the upcoming realme Pad, it’s simply ColorOS with a few tweaks.

Hopefully, before ColorOS 12 is officially announced, we will learn more about it via promotional teasers and leaks as well.
