As Flipkart has revealed, Samsung is launching a new phone on September 29th. It comes ahead of the highly anticipated e-commerce website promotion called Billion Days. Samsung has yet to reveal which phone will be launching in India, but given that the F-series is exclusively available at Flipkart.  We speculate it could be the Samsung Galaxy F42. Previously, we also spotted the support page of the Galaxy F42 5G. According to reports, Samsung’s recently launched Wide5 smartphone could be renamed Galaxy F42 in India.

Here’s what you can expect if Samsung rebrands the Galaxy Wide5 as the Galaxy F42. With a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and an Infinity-V notch for the selfie camera, the Galaxy Wide5 boasts slim bezels. The Galaxy Wide5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD card slot. The Galaxy F42 5G is running on Android 11 out of the box. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side for security.

On the back of the Samsung Galaxy Wide5, there is a triple camera setup. It features a 64MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 115 degrees, and a 2MP depth sensor. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is on the front. The connectivity option includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C. The battery capacity of 5,000mAh with fast-charging support of 15W.
