Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s new research note, which comes maybe a little too soon after the iPhone 13 series’ debut, provides a glimpse into the company’s future generation of iPhones. According to the report, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will have a significant makeover that will eliminate the notch in favor of a punch-hole cutout.
Furthermore, both Pro models will include wide-angle cameras. That is having a resolution of 48MP. The iPhone 14 series is to be released in the second half of 2022. Apple will not offer an in-screen fingerprint scanner next year, according to Kuo. As per the source, the under-display Touch ID is delayed till 2023.
In addition to the basic vanilla model, the 2022 iPhone range will feature a new 6.7-inch non-Pro iPhone to round out the roster. Previous speculations that Apple will discontinue the tiny form factor for the iPhone. It was confirmed by the lack of a smaller variant for next year. According to reports, a new iPhone SE with 5G capability would be released in the first half of 2022.
