In India, Xiaomi announced the Mi TV 5X series today at the Mi Smarter Living 2022 mega launch event. On the same platform, the firm unveiled the Mi Band 6 fitness tracker, the Mi Notebook Pro, Mi Notebook Ultra, a new 360-degree home security camera, and Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition. Mi TV 5X series has arrived in three sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch. There is a direct comparison between it and Samsung’s Crystal 4K Pro UHD series and the OnePlus’ U1S TV series.

Essentially, all three Mi TV 5X models feature identical specifications, with their main differences being the screen size and audio output. Xiaomi’s new smart TVs feature 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, 10-bit colours, 94 per cent DCI P3 colour gamut, and Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR, HLG, and Vivid Picture Engine 2. On the 43-inch model, the speakers deliver 30W, while on the 50-inch and 55-inch models, the speakers deliver 40W. With Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD on board, the speakers provide a powerful audio experience.
With its slim bezels and metallic finish, the Mi TV 5X boasts a premium appearance. There are several ports on the board for connectivity, including three HDMI 2.1 outputs, two USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, an optical port, an AV input, H.265, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
There is a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor and a Mali-G52 MP2 graphics chip. This device has an internal storage capacity of 16 GB and 2 GB of RAM. PatchWall UI features smart recommendations, kids mode, parental control, universal search, 55+ free live channels, and all-new IMDb integration. In addition to buttons for accessing OTT platforms, the intuitive remote control offers features like Quick Mute, Quick Settings, and Quick Wake.

Mi TV 5X’s 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch models cost Rs 31,999 (~$431), Rs 41,999 (~$566), and Rs 47,999 (~$647), respectively. The sale begins at 12 p.m. (local time) on Sept. 7, and it will be available through Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Home, and retail stores. With HDFC Bank Credit Cards & EasyEMI, buyers can obtain an instant discount of up to Rs 3,000. Furthermore, a number of major banks and NBFCs offer no-cost EMI for up to nine months.
