Xiaomi also announced its comeback to tablet segment with the new Mi Pad 5 series in China. This time the company has launched not one but two new flagship tablets with Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro. The new Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro are the successor to Mi Pad 4 which was launched in 2019.

Xiaomi also announced two new flagship tablets with Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro in China. The new Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro will look identical in terms of design. But gets slight change in terms of internals. The new Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro comes with premium metal unibody with thicker bezels protecting the display on the front. Sadly, the Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro will follow the traditional tablet design which we saw in the past.
On the back, the Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro will feature single and dual rear camera with LED flash respectively. Further, the Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro comes in various colors like Black, White and Green colors. Both the tablets measures 6.86 mm thick and weighs 511g/518g respectively.

The Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro will sport the same 11inches 2.5K IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and resolution of 2560 x 1600p. It also supports HDR10, 10bit and P3 color gamut. Both the Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro comes with stylus support with touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It also gets Dolby Vision with Eye Protection Mode.
The Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro are powered by SD860 SoC and SD870 SoC respectively. Both of them are coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The new Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro features single and dual rear cameras with LED flash respectively.
The Mi Pad 5 comes with single 13MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G comes with 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture & Mi Pad 5 Pro with 13MP main sensor along with 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Both the tablets do support for 4K video recording at 30fps. The Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro comes with 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
The connectivity option includes 5G (Dual-Mode support), A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, Dual Band Wifi/Wifi 6e, IR Balster, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 11 with the latest MIUI 12.5 on top. The Mi Pad 5 packs 8720 mAh and Mi Pad 5 Pro with 8600 mAh battery with 33W and 67W fast charge support.
Lastly, the Mi Pad 5 comes with quad-speakers whereas the Mi Pad 5 Pro eight speakers on either side with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res support.

The Mi Pad 5 with 6GB+128GB cost 1999 Yuan (Rs.23,000/-) & 6GB+256GB at 2299 Yuan (Rs.26,500/-). The Mi Pad 5 Pro with 6GB+128GB at 2499 Yuan (Rs.29,000/-), 6GB+256GB at 2799 Yuan (Rs.31,900/-) and 8GB+256GB at 3499 Yuan (Rs.40,000/-) in China.
