Realme Pad

Earlier this year, Realme confirmed its first tablet would be released in 2021. Since its arrival was confirmed, details about the device, which will be called the Realme Pad, have been surfacing. An important detail was revealed today.

A YouTuber from India, Sahil Karoul, has just shared some new information. He tweeted earlier today that the Realme Pad will use a MediaTek Helio processor but he did not specify which chipset it uses. Now that the cat is out of the bag, he has revealed that the tablet is powered by the Helio G80 processor.

Realme Pad’s lack of a flagship chipset might disappoint those expecting it to have one. Helio G80, which launched last year, is a mid-range processor that doesn’t compare to higher performing Snapdragon 860 and Snapdragon 870 processors in competitor tablets. In spite of this, the Realme Pad will likely be cheaper than those from its competitors with its mid-range processor.

Realme Pad has also been revealed to have a 10.4-inch AMOLED screen, quad speakers, 8MP cameras on each side, and a stylus that can be stored inside the tablet. The battery capacity is also expected to be 7100mAh.

According to a leak from the same source, the Realme Pad will be launched on September 9. Lastly, to confirm the above leak we now spotted the alleged Realme Pad listed on Geekbench.

GeekBench Listing:

It has been spotted using RMP2102 model number at several certification sites including Singapore’s IMDA, Europe’s EEC, India’s BIS, and Thailand’s NBTC. This same device has now appeared at the Geekbench site. According to its listing, it’s powered by MediaTek’s MT6769V/CU octa-core processor in which six CPU cores clock at 1.80GHz and two at 2.0GHz. All of these clues support Helio G80 as the processor for the Realme Pad.
Furthermore, it is listed as having 4 GB of RAM, and it comes bundled with Android 11. Realme’s tablet-specific UI is likely to be layered on top of the OS. A single-core test gave it a score of 326, whereas a multi-core test gave it a score of 1144.
