So far, we’ve seen some interesting display devices revealed by domestic manufacturers such as Samsung and LG at IMID 2021, which began on August 25 in Korea. Samsung showed off its S-foldable device, which can fold twice to become a phone and unfold to become a 17.3-inch tablet. LG, on the other hand, has unveiled an 88-inch OLED TV with sound and a 55-inch OLED transparent bed.
A new Samsung product was unveiled today at the event. AI speakers were displayed that could transform into 12.4-inch displays within seconds.
Apparently, Samsung AI Speaker has rolled-up sides, as shown in a video from Korea Display Exhibition. An OLED display panel wrapped around a 12.4-inch speaker power the device. With just a tap on the proprietary app, one can convert the speaker into a large 12.4-inch panel.
When it is toggled from the smartphone, the Samsung AI speaker goes from a flat display position to a rolled position within seconds. During this process, the panel appears to move smoothly from one position to another.
The company will also unveil a 144Hz refresh rate monitor for 34 inches. There is also a 48-inch bendable OLED cinematic sound panel. We are not sure when exactly this tech will be going to implement.
