The Nokia smartphone line received a facelift in April. HMD Global now has new information that reveals they are looking to expand on the revamped foundations by adding several devices.
Evan Blass, a trustworthy leaker, has revealed to HMD Global that they are currently working on four devices. These include the Nokia G50 smartphone (leaked) and the Nokia T20 tablet.
The Nokia G50 smartphone is expected to retail for around EUR 250 in Europe. It will likely include the MediaTek chipset and have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Nokia T20 tablet will retail for £185 in the UK. It comes with a 10.36-inch screen and could retail for £185. There are options for a 4GB/64GB configuration and optional 4G LTE connectivity.
We will need to wait for more information before we can make any decisions. However, at this point, the Nokia T20 could still make our top tablets of 2021. Similar results can be made for the Nokia G50 or our best budget 5G phone roundup.
HMD Global also has the two other products they are working on. Evan Blass reveals that those products use the codenames Aoki’ & Deadmau5 – and will be marketed officially as the Nokia G300 / Nokia X100.
The details of the smartphones are unknown, but HMD Global’s names indicate that they might be entering the upper-midrange market and competing directly with the OnePlus Nord 2, Moto G100 or even the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE.
