In a massive leak a couple of months ago, three S8 models were revealed – the vanilla, S8+, and S8 Ultra. According to the leak, the vanilla model will support 45W charging. According to reliable tipper Ice Universe, all three models will do well.
As with the Galaxy Tab S7, they will have a 10V/4.5A capability. Despite tablets having larger batteries, fast charging at 40 Watts or higher is uncommon. Furthermore, Galaxy Tab S8+ is expected to be powered by a 10,090mAh battery, the S8 Ultra by an 11,500mAh battery, the Vanilla model by 8,000mAh.
The source assures us, however, that all three tablets will use the Snapdragon 898. It’s possible that’s why the tab release has been delayed – the first two Tab S7 models were released over a year ago. In addition, the 898 probably won’t be available until December/January.
Furthermore, the leakster explicitly states that the tablets will not use Samsung’s Exynos 2200 processor. The one with the AMD RDNA GPU supposedly has greater performance than the new Adreno. An increase in graphics power would have been beneficial on a larger screen. Similarly, the Exynos is not yet ready for launch.
Galaxy S22 flagships are expected to be launched alongside Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. Every new device will come preloaded with One UI 4.0.
