Reliance India announced its very first affordable 4G smartphone in India in partnership with Google last month. During the launch, Jio unveiled some of the specs along with a first look at the new JioPhone Next. Further, the company also stated that JioPhone Next will be going on sale from Sept 10. Ahead of the official launch, we got the complete specs leaked for the new JioPhone Next.
As per the source, the new JioPhone Next will sport an HD+ TFT display with a resolution of 1440*720p. As expected the JioPhone Next will feature a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio display with thicker bezels. Further, the JioPhone Next is now powered by older SD215 SoC which is also powering the Nokia 1.4.
It is coupled with 2GB RAM and probably gets 16GB/32GB storage with a microSD card slot. In addition to Google’s Camera Go and Duo Go apps, it will be interesting to see how other optimizations were added. It has an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 for its rear camera. The JioPhone Next will run on Android 11 Go Edition out of the box.
Lastly, the source reveals that JioPhone Next might be priced under $50 (Rs.3799/-) in India.
