The iQOO 8 Series teased for the past month. During the ChinaJoy convention last Wednesday, hands-on images of the unreleased iQOO phone were captured. The Chinese phone manufacturer has confirmed on Weibo that the iQOO8 series will be released on August 17th at 7:30 PM local.

The poster roughly translates into “Full Control at the Verge of iQOO 8 Conference”, which, although we doubt it was lost in translation, may refer to the iQOO 8’s high performance.
The iQOO 8 Series should be the first device to get the new Snapdragon 888+ chipset. As expected, 12GB of RAM is available, and 256GB of storage will be available.

iQOO demonstrated 120W charging at ChinaJoy. However, a rumor has it that the iQOO 8, which is expected to support 160W charging speeds, will not be confirmed. DigitalChatStation claims that the iQOO eight will have a Samsung E5 LPTO AMOLED screen at 1400 x3200 px.

Last week’s convention photos only showed a phone portion, as it was covered in security enclosures. Only the front and a small part of the bottom were visible. The display has dual-curved edges. The bottom edge of this phone is flat.
