In the meantime, 91mobiles has exclusively learned that the upcoming Pixel 6 phones may come with 33W fast-charging support out of the box, courtesy of tipster Yogesh Brar.
Google Pixel phones will take a huge step up thanks to this innovation; however, it won’t match the features that brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, and OPPO offer in their flagships. Yogesh also tells us that his sources at Google have spotted a lot of 33W charging bricks at the company’s HQ.
The charging units have apparently been returned since they were just for testing. Maybe this is because Apple and Samsung have not included a charger in their boxes with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Despite the Pixel 6 phones supporting 33W fast-charging as they are currently being tested, consumers will see the adapters separately when they hit the market after launch.
In recent times, multiple reports have surfaced regarding the Pixel phone’s foldable design. As per Yogesh, sources within Google tell of a delay in the foldable project. As of now, there’s no specific launch date for the same, but he tells us there’s a chance the Mountain View giant might give us a sneak peek at its Pixel 6 event later this year.
