Yesterday’s leaks included information about a high-end Honor V7 Pro tablet. It mostly teased the design and suggested a MediaTek Dimensity 1300T chipset as its core.
New information claims that a source has more details about the Dimensity chip. The leak is also supported by a photo of a confidential MediaTek press release addressed to Honor.

Although we don’t have the complete specs sheet for Dimensity 1300T yet, it seems to be in line with the rest and is an improved derivative of the Dimensity 1200 flagship.

Specs:

According to the source, Dimensity 1300T uses TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing node. It also comes with ARM Cortex A78 CPU cores. However, no information is available on the core count, configuration, or speeds. These 9 GPU cores will come bundled together with them. We can expect it could use the same Mali G77 MC9 setup as the Dimensity 11200. A 6-core APU 3.0 solution is also included on the chip.

Another leak shows some impressive performance increases, but it is not in a value context. These numbers most likely compare the Dimensity 1350T to 1200 and mention the Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 870. These numbers include a 30% faster CPU, 40% more GPU, and an astounding 82% higher AI performance.

MediaTek Dimensity 1300T

The Dimensity 1300T is reportedly geared towards mobile gaming and will include a MediaTek HyperEngine for optimization. The other bit of information is a little confusing. The photographed press release shows this one. The Dimensity 1300T will be making its debut with Honor’s next tablet. Honor will also have six months of exclusive access to the chip. We don’t think the Honor V7 Pro teasers are a “gaming tablet.”

MediaTek Dimensity 1300T could be revealed on July 26, according to specs. A beefed-up Dimensity 1200 may also be available.

Also, the Dimensity 1300T model’s “T” is not a popular Dimensity name. MediaTek may reveal more than one Dimensity 1300 variant at the July 26 event, according to sources. There is a lot of talk on Weibo about the Dimensity 1300T being too powerful and hot for smartphones. It could also explain the tablet exclusivity. Many other discussions can be had.
