Looks like Asusu got another chance to announce its next limited-edition flagship in partnership with Qualcomm. Yes, Asus and Qualcomm have now launched their first Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders Globally.
Qualcomm has a huge 1.6 million Snapdragon Insider who is a bunch of fans who follow the news from the company and also participate in the online forums. So to help them Qualcomm has partnered with Asus to launch a smartphone specifically for Qualcomm Insiders.
The retail package includes the device itself along with TWS earbuds with Snapdragon Sound produced by Master & Dynamic, a bumper case, a Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.0 power adapter, and two charging cables.
The new smartphone comes with 6.78 inches AMOLED display with a resolution of 2448*1080p. It also gets support for a higher 144Hz refresh rate along with Gorilla Glass Victus on top. There is also support for Always On Display. Sadly, the phone uses a Sony-styled 21:9 aspect ratio display without any notch or hole.
There is the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is again old-styled. The phone uses Qualcomm’s 2nd generation 3D Sonic Sensor the same one found on Galaxy S21 series but this time it’s placed on the back, not the in-display one.
It is powered by SD888 SoC coupled with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB internal storage. On the back, there are triple rear cameras with a main 64MP f/1.8 camera, 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 & 8MP telephoto lens with 3X Zoom. It also gets Qualcomm AI software experiences like auto zoom and AI object tracking. There is a 24MP f/2.2 selfie shooter on the front.
The device packs a 4000 mAh battery and comes with Quick Charge 5.0 support. It charges from 0-70% in just 30 min and a full charge at 50 min. It is heavier at 210g.
The new Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will set you back with a whopping price tag of $1500 (Rs.1,12,100/-). The phone is all set to go on sale sometime in August in countries like China, the US, Germany, UK, Japan, South Korea, and India.
