Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha 5G

Xiaomi is all set to launch another foldable phone this year after the debut of Mi Mix Fold earlier this year. Sadly, the first foldable never made its way to India, and likely the successor won’t make either. Now the popular tipster has just leaked detail about the new foldable from Xiaomi.

As per the source, the Chinese company Xiaomi is now planning to launch another foldable later this year. The leak mentions that the Xiaomi folding phone is codenamed J18s which is running on Android 11 OS. This is the same phone which was initially been spotted on MIUI 12 Beta update.

As per the tipster, the new Xiaomi J18s is likely to make its debut by Q4 of 2021. It will again feature a similar design as the Mi Mix Fold with an inward folding type. This time both the internal and external panels will come with higher refresh rate support. Yes, the main internal display will be supplied by Samsung Display which will come with 120Hz refresh rate support.

Further, the external display will feature an under-display selfie camera with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be again powered by the same SD888 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM. It will feature a 108MP main sensor coupled with an unknown sensor with a 3x liquid lens, and an ultra-wide unit. All this is packed by a larger 5000 mAh battery.
