Samsung and Google had partnered in the past to launch its all-new WearOS later this year. Now at the MWC 2021, Samsung has officially announced its next smartwatch OS based on WearOS with the new One UI Watch. Sadly, Samsung didn’t launch any new smartwatch aka Galaxy Watch4 but confirmed that it will arrive with the new One UI Watch OS.
As the new One UI Watch is based on WearOS Samsung has integrated more deeply with Android than Tizen OS. The new One UI Watch features app support like if you install any app on your smartphone if it also has smartwatch app support then it will automatically install on your watch too.
It’s just not limited to this like if you have blocked any number or you have multiple cities on the weather or clock app these settings will also copy to your smartwatch. So in short we can see it comes with seamless sync between the smartwatch and phone. The new One UI Watch will also bring popular apps Strava, Adidas Running, Calm, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Google Maps directly to Galaxy Watch.
Samsung also claims that One UI Watch will offer great battery life, much improved, and faster performance with a wide range of apps support. lastly, Samsung will bring some interesting Watch Faces exclusive to its smartwatch lineup with One UI Watch.
