Looks like we finally got the key specs of the upcoming flagship lineup from Motorola aka the Moto Edge 2 series. In the past, we saw various leaks pointing out the codenames and specs of the upcoming Motorola Edge 2 series. Now we got the confirmed specs leaked from popular tipster Evan Blass.
As per the tipster, the company will launch almost three new models under the Motorola Edge 2 series. It will include Motorola Edge 2, Motorola Edge 20 Lite, and Motorola PStar. So let’s start with the new Motorola Edge 2 series specs.
Motorola Berlin and Berlin NA aka the Motorola Edge 2:
The first model under the series is the vanilla Motorola Edge 2 which is going to come in two variants one for the US and the other for Global markets. The new Motorola Edge 2 will sport 6.78 inches FHD+ (1080*2460p) display with 120Hz refresh rates. The Global version gets slightly smaller at 6.67 inches.
The Motorola Edge 2 will be powered by the latest SD778G SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. It will feature triple rear cameras with 108MP main, 8MP ultra-wide with macro mode, and a 2MP depth sensor with LED flash. There is a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera on the front.
The Global version of Motorola Edge 2 features triple rear cameras with 108MP main, 16MP ultra-wide with macro mode, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with 3X zoom & LED flash.
The new Motorola Edge 2 will run on Android 11 OS and comes with a 5000 mAh battery. Sadly it features mono speakers and not stereo ones. The Motorola Edge 2 Global will come with a smaller 4000 mAh battery. It will be available in Emerald, Stout, and White colors.
Motorola Edge 20 Lite aka Motorola Kyoto:
Motorola will also include the cheaper 5G phone probably for the Indian market Motorola Edge 20 Lite. As per the source, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite will sport an FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by MediaTek Dimesnity 700 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage options.
It will feature triple rear cameras with 108MP main, 8MP ultra-wide with macro mode, and a 2MP depth sensor with LED flash. There is a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera on the front. The new Motorola Edge 20 Lite will run on Android 11 OS and comes with a 5000 mAh battery. Sadly it features mono speakers and not stereo ones. It will come in Iron and Cosmo colors.
Motorola PStar:
The next is another mid-range flagship smartphone which is codenamed Motorola PStar. This model might not come under the Edge series but be rumored to have similar specs as the upcoming Moto G60S 5G. The new Motorola PStar will also land in India along with some Asian countries and Europe later this year.
Motorola PStar will sport a 6.67 inches FHD+ (1080*2460p) display with 120Hz refresh rates. It will be powered by SD870 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.
The Motorola PStar features triple rear cameras with 108MP main, 16MP ultra-wide with macro mode, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with 3X zoom & LED flash. There is a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera on the front.
The new Motorola PStar will run on Android 11 OS and comes with a 4500 mAh battery. Sadly it features mono speakers and not stereo ones. It will come in Black, White, and Blue colors. It will also feature under-display fingerprint scanner support.
