After Microsoft announced the new Windows 10 in 2015 almost 5 years the company didn’t offer any big updates. Now finally the company is all set to introduce the next iteration of its Windows OS with the new Windows 11. Yes, Microsoft will indeed launch the new Windows 11 OS later next week.
Windows 11 Features:
Now ahead of the official launch we got the early build of the Windows 11 OS leaked. From the leak, the source confirmed that the new Windows 11 might come with some huge visual redesign but it looks similar to Windows 10. So no major changes in terms of features here and will give Windows 10 like experience from the first boot.
Again the new Windows 11 versions are also similar to the previous gen with Home, Enterprise, Pro & more. Once you select the version it will show an option to partition the hard disk and install the OS. From the leaks, we can see that the OS looks similar to the rumored Windows 10X which is no longer happening. So Microsoft is just looking for an opportunity to build the hype with new Windows 11 branding.
Further, the start Menu is no moved to the center of the screen with the new Windows logo that is Sky blue in color now. Further, the company is changing the brand from Microsoft to Windows for example Microsoft Server is now changed to Windows Server. There are some minor changes in the UI which had sharp edges that are now turned into rounded corners.
The taskbar looks similar to one on the Windows 10X which is placed at the center. Windows Search gets a brand new look that uses the Sun Valley UX which are floating, centered fly-outs. It filters down results by apps, documents, settings, and more.
The File Explorer looks similar to Windows 10 with the same UI but updated icons. No changes in the Edge Browser and it looks similar to one found on Windows 10. The settings panel also doesn’t get any changes and will remind us of Windows 10 OS for sure. So the new things are the new wallpapers that come along with two themes one light other is a dark theme.
Windows 11 will bring back the Windows 7 Widgets which look similar to macOS which will replace the Live Tiles. So Windows 11 will completely ditch the Live Tiles for simpler macOS-like widgets that look different on light and dark themes. Lastly, Windows 11 OS will get the option of split view options with almost three or four apps now.
